Our Story

StorySwap was founded in 1989 by three local tellers. One year after founding, and at the urging of Joe Healy... Pittsburgh's grandfather of storytelling, StorySwap hosted it's first "Tellebration"

Since that time, StorySwap has hosted three Pennsylvania Storytelling Conferences, twenty Tellebrations, and one National Storytelling Conference. We are very proud of our work and hope to continue this tradition into tomorrow so that you and your children can know the stories.
